Events

As an organization Sigma Kappa encourages our members to be involved in their campus and community. Because of this focus on involvement outside of Sigma Kappa, our sisters are able to engage with the campus and community in ways that are important to them by hosting and participating in a number of different events.

Check out some pictures from some of our major events! We look forward to each and every one of these throughout the semester.

We love supporting our troops and a former Sigma Kappa sister at our Stars and Stripes BBQ dinner. We hold this dinner every year to honor Ashley Henderson Huff, a former member of Sigma Kappa. Ashley lost her life while deployed, so we honor her through this event and the Ashley Henderson Huff Memorial Scholarship.

We are proud to be one of the top donors in the Walk to End Alzheimers! Many of our sisters have a personal connection to this disease. Getting to walk for those affected by this disease every year is what sisterhood is all about!

An all time favorite, Mystic Pizza! There's pizza and T-shirts, all for a great cause. Need we say more?

There's nothing better than having our parents in Athens for Daddy-Daughter day, Mommy-Daughter day, and Parents Weekend! We love to show our love and appreciation to our parents that do so much for us. These events give us memories that will last a lifetime.

What could be better than hanging out with your sister in all camo? We are always all smiles at our favorite fall date night, Gator Hunt, before the Georgia Florida game! It is always such a blast!

Every spring, we hold our Violet Ball Formal. It is so fun to dress up and spend time with our sisters. From waffle bars to awesome bands, this event is always a good time!

Cotton candy, face paint, and petting zoos, oh my! Our spring philanthropy event, Sigma Karnival, is always a blast for our community! We love spending time with our sister while serving others.
